Errata for Fiber Trends, Inc.

While no one likes to encounter an error in his or her knitting pattern, we are only human.  We try our utmost to provide you with an error free pattern in the first place.  Below are the problems we are aware of.

Errata information should apply to first printing only, your copy may already have the correction in place.

Corrected information is bolded & underlined.

 

AC-33 Felt Clog:     (First printing of new format only.)

** Men’s Med Only ** 

Row 40: Instructions are correct, stitch count should read (49, 53).

** Women's Lge Only **

Row 38: Slip 1, p- (29, 33 / 32, 32), p2tog, p-(2, 2 / 3, 1), turn.

 

AC-50 Baltic Sea Stole: (1 printing only)

15 stitch repeat on chart, arrow should be one stitch in from right edge of center section and repeat should begin with ssk, yo, k1..

 

AC-55 Maggie’s Felt Tote

Just a row number error, pattern instructions are okay.

On Second End Shaping, pattern should read:

Turn and knit 5 rows.

Row 6: k2tog, knit to last 2 sts, k2tog. (6 sts)

Row 7: Knit.

Repeat rows 6 & 7 once more. (4 sts)

Last row: k2tog, k2tog. (2 sts)

 

AC-62 Everyone's Favorite Hat & Scarf

First printing in old format

Top shaping, worsted weight numbers only: 

Pattern repeat should be 4x.

Also one printing of the new format the scarf instructions had an extra slip 1 at the end of row 1.

Scarf pattern should read

Row 1: Slip 1, *p2, k2,* repeat to last 3 sts, p2, k1.

Row 2: Slip 1, k2, *p2, k2,* repeat to last st, end k1.

 

AC-63 Flowers on the Go

Instructions for tab shaping were incorrect in first printing.

End Shaping:

Row 1: k2, k2tog, k3 (7), k2tog, yarn forward, slip 2.

Row 2: k2, k2tog, k1 (5), k2tog, yarn forward, slip 2.

For small size only, skip rows 3 & 4 and continue with rows 5 through 7.

Row 3: (large size only) k2, k2tog, k3, k2tog, yarn forward, slip 2.

Row 4: (large size only) k2, k2tog, k1, k2tog, yarn forward, slip 2.

Row 5: k1, k2tog, k1, k2tog, yarn forward, slip 1.

Row 6: k2tog, k1, k2tog.

Row 7: slip 1, k2tog, pass slipped st over the k2tog st.

Cut yarn and fasten off.

 

AC-73   Cocoon Lace Scarf and Wrap:

Elastic Cast off should read: k2, *return these 2 sts to the left hand needle, k2togb, k1, repeat from * across.

 

AC-81 Alpine Boot Slipper

Row 32: Slip 1, p30, p2tog, p1, turn

 

AC-88 Aspen Lace:

Charts 2 & 3 should say the repeat section is 8 sts, not 12.

 

AC-91:

Needle size should read: US size 15 (10mm)

 

AC-92

Written Instructions are correct.

When working from the chart, all wrong side rows in the cable repeat section shoul dbegin with sl 1, K3, and row should end with k2.

(Borders on each side are kept in garter stitch).

CH-19 Bright Tradition

On the original old format printing in 1996

Row 2 under ‘Begin pattern’ should read: k9 (11,13,15,17), p2, k8, p2, k25 (25, 27, 29, 31), p2, k8, p2, k8 (10, 12, 14, 16), * repeat once to end of round. 

 

CH-29 – Sisters

To keep the pattern correct, round 13 of the skirt (just above the lace edging) should read:  k6, *p1, k11,* repeat to last 6 sts, p1, k5.

 

CH-50 Heart Quilt Baby Blanket

Block K:  Row 4: k1, inc 1, k2. (5 sts)

 

CH-51  Tulips and Rosebuds Baby Blanket
First Printing Only
On page 2 of pattern:
Pattern Set Up, Row 1, final stitch count should be 179.
Stitch count after row 28 of Tulip Border should be 185, not 193.
Tulip Border - Chart 1:  

Stitches between c & d are repeated 5 times, not 7.
Also, on Chart 3, the 24 st repeat section should be moved.
Move repeat lines so from rt, 15 sts, 24 sts, 32 sts.
Work repeat section 3 times total. (5 rosebuds total in first row, 3 rosebuds in second.)

FT-218 Sunshine & Sails

First printing in old format in the Sails Face Cloth Chart on the pattern insert

In rows 14 & 24, there are 2 places where the symbol or v is used. These should be W just like the others.

Also on Row 65 of same chart the symbol at the top of large sailboat should be ¸

FT-212 Braided Cable Tea Cosies 

2 cup size only, all even numbered rows through row 12: repeats should be 6x, not 5x.

 

FT-231  Buddy Bears . . . and bones

Under instructions for Head, after rows 57 & 59. 

Should read:  (16 sts after row 60.)

 

FT-234 Baby Owl Takes Flight

Needle size should read: US size 9 (5.5 mm)

 

 

FT-460 Cropped Jacket:

Style  1, size small only, buttonhole row.

Row 6 should read: k1, k2tog, yo, k22 (25,28,31), place marker, k44 (50,56,62), place marker, k24 (27,30,33), slip 1.

 

FT-461 Country Weekend

For Sleeve section S-1, under the heading Top of Sleeve Shaping the second sentence should read

Repeat this short row 9 times with each row being 3 sts shorter than the previous row.

 

FT464 A Jacket For All Seasons – Long Shawl Collar Version

First printing only one corrections to page 6

Under the heading Insert Pocket Lining and after rows 1 & 2 the instrucitons should read:

Continue working as established until you have 25 (25, 27, 30, 31) ridges, then work sleeve shaping rows to match back. Front should have 30 (35, 40, 45, 50) ridges from crocheted chain.
At lower edge of last ridge, work I-Cord Cast-Off for 15 stitches up the side as before.
Place the 3  I-Cord stitches onto a pin or holder at top of vent and the end of sleeve.
Leave remaining stitches on needle.

FT465 A Jacket For All Seasons – Short Version

First printing only two corrections to page 5

1.Under heading Left Front Side and Sleeve stitch count was wrong.

Using a backward loop, cast on 3 stitches. With RS facing and using the same yarn, pick up and knit 78 stitches along the right side of the left front domino panel. Next, using same yarn, knit up 14 stitches from the end of one of the 136 loop chains. Mark the last stitch worked with a pin for raglan decrease then continue knitting up 116 more stitches.  (211 sts total)

2. Last paragraph on page should read:

Continue working in rows as established, decreasing on every RS row, until you have 25 (25, 27, 30, 31) ridges.
Work sleeve shaping to match back, continuing raglan decreases .  Front should have 30 (35, 40, 45, 50) ridges.
Place the I-Cord stitches at end of sleeve onto a pin or small holder. 
Place all remaining stitches onto a spare needle or long length of yarn.

S-2003 The Sheep Shawl

On one printing only of the old style pattern the insert was missing Row 167.

Row 167: k3, yo, knit to marker, yo, k1, yo, knit to last 3 sts, yo, k3. (345 sts)

 

S-2008 Seascape Shawl

Row 109 (written instructions) Should read:

Row 109: k3, *k4, [yo, ssk, k1, k2tog, yo, k9] 3x, yo, ssk, k1, k2tog, yo, k6, repeat from * 3 more times, k1.

 

S-2010 Leaf Lace Shawl

The asterisk in row 29 is misplaced in the original printing.  The following is the correct placement.

Row 29: k2, *yo, k1, [yo, k1, ssk, p1, k2tog, k1, yo, k3] 2x, yo, k1, ssk, p1, k2tog, k1, yo, k1, yo,* k1, repeat from * to *, k2. (67 sts)

 

S-2014 Flower Basket Shawl:

Repeat rows 25 through 34 until shawl is desired size, having one more

repeat of stitches within the brackets each time on rows 25, 27, 31 & 33 and 2

more repeats each time on row 29.

Example: The first time these rows are repeated, rows 25 & 27 will have 3

repeats of the stitches within the brackets; row 29 will have 7 repeats and

rows 31 & 33 will have 4 repeats.

The next time rows 25 & 27 will have 4 repeats,

row 29 will have 9 repeats, and rows 31 & 33 will have 5 repeats.

 

S-2017 Spinner's Lace Shawl

Row 23 of Border and Edging should read:

Row 23: k2, yo, k1, [yo, ssk]2x, *k1, [k2tog, yo]2x, k1, [yo, ssk]2x,* repeat between *'s to 6 sts before marker, k1, [k2tog, yo]2x, k1, yo, k1, yo, k1, [yo, ssk]2x, repeat between *'s to last 8 sts, k1, [k2tog, yo]2x, k1, yo, k2.  (271 sts)

Row 29: delete the 'yo' before the center k1.

 

S-2018 Angel Lace Shawl:

Row 19 should read: k2, yo, knit to marker, yo, k1, yo, knit to last 2 sts, yo, k2.

Row 15A should read: k1, k1 & bead (return st to holding needle, insert crochet hook through bead and pull st from holding needle through bead, return beaded st to working needle), yo, k9, *yo, k1 & bead, yo, k9, * repeat to last 2 sts, yo, k1 & bead, k1.

 

S-2020 Feathers Lace

Cast on 77 (53) sts for small neckband, 95 (65) for large.

Row 1: (WS) Slip 1, knit to end.

Small Neckband Only:

Row 2: (RS) Slip 1, k2, pm, *m1, k7, m1, k1, pm*, repeat to last 2 sts, k2.  (95 (65) sts)

Large Neckband Only:

Row 2: (RS) Slip 1, k2, pm, *m1, k9, m1, k1, pm*, repeat to last 2 sts, k2.  (113, 77 sts)

 

S2021 -

Error in note#1 on page 2.  It should say Rnds 29, 63, 99, 135, 171,  and 207.

Rnd 137 of the written instruction is missing a 'ssk', it should read as follows:
*k3, k2tog, yo, k3, yo, ssk, k8, yo, ssk, yo, sk2p, yo, k3, yo, ssk, k7, k2tog, yo, ssk, k7, k2tog, yo, k3, yo, sk2p, yo, k2tog, yo, k8, k2tog, yo, k3, yo, ssk, k1.*
